The army in all it's current glory!
So, as I mentioned in my last post, I've had a slow month or so on the painting front, but I've managed to finish off a few part finished projects in the last couple of days. One of those was the second unit of Halflings from the Westfalia Kickstarter, along with a couple of characters.
The main block is a unit of 24 Heavily armoured veteran swordsmen, Known as 'The Headhunters'.
Led by 'Baron' De'Tempika, armed with his fearsome, double-handed sword, The Headhunters are comprised of the tallest Halflings from all over the Moot.
They take their nickname from the test they have to pass to join, which is to be able to decapitate a training dummy. It has to be said, however, that rather than being tall enough to do it, which is the legend, most pass the test by subterfuge, either borrowing the Baron's huge sword, or by scrambling up the dummy and knocking the head off. Needless to say, these tests are taken in secret.

Next up is Faustini, the Halfling Mage, with Cynric, his book bearer.
Faustini and Cynric
Faustini is rare amongst the Halflings, being proficient in the use of Magic. Some say this is because he is half-human, but as everyone is terrified of him, they don't say it in his face. Everyone apart from Cynric, that is. As well as allowing Faustini to read from his spellbook in battle, he is also the Mage's bodyguard in the heat of battle.
Finally, there's The Green Knight. He's currently without a unit to lead, but he's another heavily armed and armoured Halfling noble.

So, there you go, another few models to add to the Halfling army. Which is just as well, as I bought into the next Westfalia Kickstarter just before xmas, so I've got a whole new bunch heading my way in the next few months, along with a bunch of houses for them to defend!
Looking good!
