RR6 - Mad Mullah Acklan'd's Death Commandos

Time for another rare (for me!) jaunt into preslotta-land, this time it's one of the early Regiments of Renown, Mad Mullah Acklan'd's Death Commandos:

As one of the very few Arabyan units ever released by Citadel, I thought I had to have a regiment of them in my Araby army, and luckily 19 of them turned up on eBay recently that I got for a very reasonable price.

Anyway, more photos and background after the cut...

RR12 Flying Gargoyles of Barda

So, in my never ending quest to only paint up the most obscure and useless races I've now moved on to 1985's 'Flying Gargoyles Of Barda' (along with a couple of Gargoyles from the later 'Night Horrors' range, as champions:

They're one of the lesser known regiments of Renown, but one of the nicer ones, then again, I always liked the odd ones!

Skeletons! Faarsands of 'em! - RRD2 Nightmare Legion finished!

The Nightmare Legion, in all their glory!

Or, more accurately and not misquoting 'Zulu', one hundred of them, and the Nightmare Legion, to be precise!

These have been sat unfinished on my painting table for well over six months, taking up a huge block of space that could have been used for something more interesting, and so I was determined to get them finally done. Frankly, having a hundred-strong Nightmare Legion regiment was a stupid idea, and it turned into an absolute grind, as with the best will in the world, they're not actually very good models, apart from Mordini and Renzo.

The Heroic Defenders of La Maisontaal!

So, sorry for being quiet recently, but apart from being ill, I've been working on this little lot, which are part of the 1986 WFB 'Vengeance of the Lichemaster' scenario.

Loads more photos and info after the cut...

A milestone! A project finished, and a new start...

Well, I've actually finished something, for once, as you can see. That's a whole army's worth of painted, vintage Citadel Dark Elves up there.
