Nomad Carl the Zone Tripper, a Necromunda Hired Gun.

So, related to my previous post about the Nomad exploration vehicle, next up is Carl, a Nomad guide, and his Mark XIII servo skull:

"The Glass Flats, The Judas Sea, I go all over"

Carl is a mysterious, almost legendary figure, a Nomad 'Zone Tripper'. He travels the most dangerous areas of the Ash Wastes with his Mark XIII servoskull, searching out the hidden locations of salvageable artifacts. He takes what he can carry back then sells his services as a guide to other Nomads of the Scrapper Guild, so they can then strip out the rest of the salvageable items for recycling and sale.

Ash Wastes Nomads Exploration Vehicle.

As you can probably tell by the gap between updates, I'm not getting as much painting done as I really want to at the moment, but i did manage to get a vehicle finished after seeing the rumours about the Ash Wastes getting some treatment in Necromunda:

this is a follow on from my previous Ash Wastes Nomads post, so they have the start of a vehicle convoy to allow them easier travel through the wastelands.

Not only that, but they now have a mysterious guide, Carl, but more of him later...

As usual, more pics after the cut...

Do What Thou Wilt... Perdurabo and Choronzon arrive at the Port.

Another couple of ne'er-do-wells have arrived at the Port on an unsanctioned transporter, the notorious Rogue Psyker known as Perdurabo, and his Xenos sidekick, Choronzon:

(Also, sorry for yet another long delay in updating, I've been working on commission jobs recently, and they're all fairly modern and not in keeping with the theme of the blog, so I've not bothered putting them up in here!)

More details and photos of the models after the cut, as usual...

A Modern(ish) take on Ash Wastes Nomads...

This is yet another small project that got out of hand, this time I had an idea to make a model to represent an Ash Waste Nomad, but in the end I created a full warband for use in Port Imperiale or Necromunda:

The "Sump Snakes" Orlock gang and their convoy ship, the Sumpcarraldo...

Another post, so soon after the last! I'll try and keep up a more regular posting regime when I can, it helps to document what I've been up to and is a bit less transient than Facebook.

This time, it's my Orlock gang for new Necromunda, the Sump Snakes, and their convoy ship, the 'Sumpcarraldo':

Lots more photos and details after the break...

2017 Round up.

Or, in other words, 'Where the hell did the last two months go?'

Looking back at my photos, this is the last thing I painted, all the way back in October:

I did him partially as part of 'Orktober', but mainly as I found him when I was looking for bits for the 'Sleazy Chopper' conversion, and couldn't resist. It's a lovely little model.

Anyway, if you're interested in what else I've been up to, there's more after the break...

Tanglegenes and his Retinue...

Well, I've not managed to paint anything much since my last post, but finally had a couple of days at the painting desk over the Bank Holiday here in the UK, so I thought I'd show you what I've been up to...

Tanglegenes and his loyal assistants.

HIL Sector's Finest, AKA Port Imperiale's Arbites Station

So, I'm still not really up to painting, but I can at least get around to photographing a few pieces I finished before surgery.

This is the station I made for my Arbites Squad. Long since cut off from the Imperium, they are totally isolated and operate mainly in a low-key police role, picking up the *really* bad criminals that rise to the top of the pile of scum that makes up Port Imperiale.

A rare group shot in front of their HQ.

And a more regular shot, guarding the building from the roof, with a couple of Arbites about to head out on a patrol.

I'll hopefully get a few more shots up of a some other bits I've done in the next few days.

The Enigma of Abdul Goldberg

The mysterious Abdul Goldberg, in the flesh...

So one of the Facebook 40k groups I'm a member of, 'The Emporium of Rogue Dreams', is having a competition to make a model, background and statline for 'Abdul Goldberg', a famous villain from the early Rogue Trader days. I've spent a lot of time working out how to fit Abdul into both Rogue Trader and 'current' 40k, and so here's my background fluff. Sorry, there's a lot of it, and it probably bends canon until it makes squeaking noises, but there y'go, that's just how I roll...

"Meet the gang 'cause the boys are here - The boys to eviscerate you!"

So, Lords, ladies, gentlemen and Xenos scum, I can finally present you the brave pensioners (and only surviving members) of the 6th Mordian Regiment, also known as the 'Flying Ripperfish' (Retd.) currently on the run from the mandatory retirement planet Chel-5EA.

So, I broke the duck... (and then some!)

Finally managed to actually get something painted yesterday, after following the advice of a couple of you on my other post. I went through my 'In Tray' of figures I've not catalogued and put away yet, and found one of the old Confrontation Bratt models, kindly given to me by a friend a while ago.

He's entirely unrelated to my other current projects, and so I give you Ludwig Von Blautoven:

I've gone with some old metal Empire infantry arms I had knocking around, which work quite well, I think. Not bad for a figure painted over the space of 8 hours. I've only got another three of these, so might pick up one or two more and make a small Necromunda gang out of them.

Whilst I was waiting for the layers/inks to dry on Ludwig, I also finished off President Kitenge's Personal Retinue for my Feral Army:

++ Battle Report - Incident at Actaia Majora ++

++ JMC Survey/Incident Report - Location - Actaia Majora - Date - 342940.M41 ++

Following an extended delay due to warp storms, the Long Range Survey ship 'Ari Knörr' finally arrived in orbit around our initial target, Actaia Majora. Initial orbital surveys proved disappointing, with no rare elements, profitworthy ores, or potential acquisitions to be made.

Report continues after the break...

The HIL Sector Blues...

I've been on a bit of a Necromunda binge recently, Having painted up a gang of Eschers the other week, and now I've just finished a team of Enforcers, that I've called the HIL Sector Blues, in homage to the classic Paranoia RPG Campaign, and in turn, Hill St Blues, the TV series they nicked the name from!

Sorry for the lack of updates...

But there's been a bit of an upheaval in the force. Or more accurately, I've spent the last couple of weeks rearranging the house, and creating a hobby/gaming room, as previously, most of my stuff was spread over several rooms. Here's a view of the painting area side:

More room pics (and some Eschers!) after the cut...
