Something a bit unusual for me this time as I don't normally do bright colours on models, but here's the original model of the Greater Daemon of Tzeentch, the Changer of the Ways that came out for 3rd Edition WFB and Rogue Trader 40k.
As you can see, I've also gone for a neutral backdrop this time instead of a scenic one, I'm not sure which I prefer tbh. Anyway, more pics after the cut:
As far as the model goes, I wanted to give him a bit more animation than the standard model, so he's pinned at a slight angle through the chaos temple ruins he's stood on to make it look like he's leaping off it, rather than just doing a strange ballet pose.
There's not a huge amount else to say about him tbh, so there you go, one angry chicken daemon. He was a commission job so sadly I don't get to keep him, but I was going through my chaos collection and found I've actualy got two of him anyway, so I might do one in a similar scheme to keep for myself! Enjoy!

Love how the feathers came out. The repositioning helps with what is a weird pose.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it looked a bit like it was trying to do ballet stood straight upright! I tilted the whole model forward , and although ‘foot on rock’ is a bit cheesy, it gives it a bit more movement and makes it look like it’s leaping rather than trying to pirouette!
DeleteIt looks fantastic in that vibrant scheme. The base is cool and does not distract your attention from the main element, so I think you made a great job here!
ReplyDeleteNice work on putting him in that dynamic pose. He looks really good!
