So, more reinforcements, and this time it's onto the Jamakeer Rough Riders!
The more observant of you may have noticed they're not actually on horses, and there's a simple reason for that. It's because I absolutely detest those bloody awful plastic horses they originally came with.

Jamakeer Guard reinforcements!
So, painting of the PDF continues apace, and I've got another few units done, which can be seen below, but first up, here's a shot of the army in it's entirety so far:
Probably a mistake, but I've continued with specialist units, rather than the rank and file. I must try to intersperse the standard units into the ones that are more interesting to paint! You may notice that I've not done any unit insignia yet. Once I've got enough painted I'm going to custom print some decals for the whole army, so I'll do them all at once at the end.
First up is VII Company (Support) Combat Engineer Platoon with their C.E.R (Combat Engineer Rhino)

The Jamakeer Guard - A Rogue Trader 40k Planetary Defence Force
With most of the Genestealer Cult now painted up, I thought it was time to move on to a new project. I've had these knocking around in the leadpile for at least a decade, along with the idea to build up a Planetary Defence Force, and so they've finally reached the top.
So, I present to you the Jamakeer Guard. Or at least some of them, there are plenty more to come!

RT Genestealer Coven - 'The Cult of the Chitinous Deliverance'
So, being a year or so behind the game when it comes to Genestealer Cults, I finally managed to get the majority of the figures I've been hoarding for about a decade painted, so here's a group shot!
In order to be contrary for the sheer hell of it, I managed to make them all without using any of the new Cultist plastics, even though they're actually very good indeed. So, now I present to you, the Cult Of The Chitinous Deliverance, Port Imperiale's Premier 'Alternative Religion'.

Tanglegenes and his Retinue...
Well, I've not managed to paint anything much since my last post, but finally had a couple of days at the painting desk over the Bank Holiday here in the UK, so I thought I'd show you what I've been up to...
Tanglegenes and his loyal assistants.

Undead reinforcements!
So, once I'd broken the back of those damned Nightmare Legion, I've managed to recently finish off a whole host of half-done models, so here's some photos of the army beginning to take shape (after the cut)

Skeletons! Faarsands of 'em! - RRD2 Nightmare Legion finished!
The Nightmare Legion, in all their glory!
Or, more accurately and not misquoting 'Zulu', one hundred of them, and the Nightmare Legion, to be precise!
These have been sat unfinished on my painting table for well over six months, taking up a huge block of space that could have been used for something more interesting, and so I was determined to get them finally done. Frankly, having a hundred-strong Nightmare Legion regiment was a stupid idea, and it turned into an absolute grind, as with the best will in the world, they're not actually very good models, apart from Mordini and Renzo.
